Pay Grade Dorset Grade 1 + 1LMI FTE (£23,656)

Actual Pro Rata Pay (£4037.11, Hourly rate of £12.26)

The vacancy is a term time position, working 7.5 Hrs Per Week (Monday – Friday 11:45am to 1:15pm), 38 weeks per year

 

Radipole Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and friendly member to join the expanding team of Midday Supervisors.

The role of Midday Supervisor is varied and will involve working both inside and out overseeing and supervising pupils whilst on their lunchbreak.   The position that we are looking to recruit to involves mainly inside working with the flexibility to work outside on occasion as the need arises.  The role will include the following:

setting up the lunch hall
assisting the kitchen staff with the serving of hot meals
supervising the movement of pupils to and from the dining areas
helping the younger children with their lunch
assisting in clearing any spillages and wiping down areas
clearing and resetting between servings
·overseeing children whilst on the playground
helping to pack away the Scrapstore play equipment
completing any documentation required by the school in relation to incidents occurring during the lunchtime break period.
Please note the setting up and clearing away in the hall will involve some lifting & moving of dining furniture.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Keeping Children Safe in Education

Radipole Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
