Head of Commercial

ISS is seeking a highly experienced Head of Commercial to drive exceptional contract performance and ensure the sustained delivery of the agreed budget for one of the biggest contracts in the UK, valued at £150-£160 million.

As part of the fastest-growing segment in ISS Worldwide, you will play a critical role in managing, optimising, and continuously monitoring the legal and financial performance of the contract.
Job Description
In this role, you will ensure that all contractual commitments are delivered optimally from a financial, legal, and commercial perspective, while identifying and mitigating business risks.

The Head of Commercial will also have the opportunity to engage in new business opportunities, ensuring that financial delivery and risk profiles are well-balanced within the negotiated terms and conditions.

With a strong focus on growth, you will be involved in other government contracts and contribute to the commercial success of multiple key projects.

Key Responsibilities

Understand and operate legal contract and pricing
Identify contractual legal improvements/optimisations
Identify areas for contract changes/SLA improvements
Drive process for contract changes / amendments
Contract performance management and optimisation tools and processes
Benchmark
Continuously ensure optimal legal contract delivery
Ensure professional and timely management of contract changes/SLA improvements
Ensure contract is delivered according to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
Share standard client facing tools across accounts
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Previous experience of working at Senior Commercial Manager or Head of Commercial level
Substantial experience in Commercial Contract Management and demonstrable experience of owning/managing contracts to a value of over £10 million+ per year
Excellent influencing skills. Able to cultivate and maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders – both with the client and internally
Strong commercial acumen with thorough knowledge of different contract types including NEC 3 & NEC 4
Experience within managing and resolving complex financial and commercial issues, especially also linking commercial account management with operations
Proven track record on providing guidance and input on pricing models, contract management, financial advisory
Demonstrable experience of Risk Mitigation and Opportunity Management
Experience of resolving complex issues through problem solving and negotiations
Experience of drafting and/or reviewing variations
Relevant Degree or equivalent professional qualification
