Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours a week
Contract Type: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist with a passion to work in specialities including Cardiology, Medical, Surgical, Antimicrobial Stewardship and Critical Care (desirable), to join our pharmacy team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with excellent transferable clinical skills.

The Wellington covers a number of specialist units including ICU Gynaecology CCU/HDU, Cardiac Treatment and Digestive Health. Joining this team can give you experience and exposure to these different areas and experts within these fields.
You must possess the vision and enthusiasm to take the services forward. You will be responsible for providing high quality comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across our specialist wards as stated. In addition, you will participate in antimicrobial stewardship where you will oversee the coordination of the microbiology ward rounds and support on the antimicrobial stewardship strategy for the hospital.

What you will bring:
Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
GPhC Registration
Extensive relevant pharmacy experience including providing a clinical pharmacy service to critical care at an advanced level
An interest in antimicrobial stewardship with desirable experience
Strong initiative and commitment, with a ‘can do’ attitude to work
Be enthusiastic with an ability to motivate yourself and team. Possess excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
