Altum Consulting are partnering with a passionate, purpose-driven charity in their search for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to help guide and strengthen our financial operations during a period of change and transition.
As Interim Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring financial stability, strong reporting, and compliance across the charity. You will be tasked with delivering timely and accurate reporting, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Prepare for and liaise with external auditors on year-end accounts
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and charity-specific financial requirements (including Charity SORP)
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Financial Controller
Strong understanding of Charity SORP and financial reporting for charities
Comfortable in a fast-paced, mission-led environment
Able to hit the ground running and lead through change
