EYFS Teaching Assistant – Doncaster

Long-Term Opportunity | Start Date: 28th September | £93 per day

Reed Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Doncaster area on a long-term basis, starting 28th September.

This exciting opportunity will be based primarily within the school’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) department, supporting young learners in their development through a mixture of structured learning activities and child-led play.

The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the delivery of phonics and early reading interventions.
• Lead and assist with small group reading activities.
• Engage with children during continuous provision and play-based learning.
• Encourage children’s social, emotional and educational development.
• Work closely with the class teacher to provide a positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Use your initiative to support children’s individual needs throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Has experience supporting EYFS pupils.
• Is confident supporting RWI phonics and early reading development.
• Is proactive, enthusiastic and able to use their own initiative.
• Enjoys interacting with children and building positive relationships.
