We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Complex Facilities Business Unit working on Projects across England and Wales. This is a hybrid role that will require occasional travel.

 

Are you an experienced Principal Commercial Manager (QS trained) with experience in sub – £5m Construction Contracts?

Here at Amey, we have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Commercial Manager to support the Head of Commercial across England and Wales.

You will be responsible for the coaching, development and recruitment of a commercial team and a role model for Amey’s Inclusion and Diversity policy, encouraging an open and honest environment.

 

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours based on Monday – Friday.

 

You will be responsible for:

 

Maintaining commercial control to enable timely and accurate submissions of payment applications.
Producing accurate commercial reports and cost data
Monitoring and reviewing Supply Chain performance
Pricing works and maximising revenue opportunities.
Managing supplier payments in line with contractual and company policy
Working closely with procurement to engage and appoint specialist supply chain partners
Attending meetings, provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial matters
Assisting Commercial & Risk Manager in preparing dispute avoidance strategy and any dispute resolution
Ensure Security and Fraud prevention systems and processes are adhered to at all time
Ensure good general knowledge of contract processes and procedures are always adhered to, advising and supporting as required
Identify business priorities and to effectively plan and implement.
Maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders
We want to hear from you if you have:

 

Commercial QS experience in Facilities Management, construction, property maintenance or related field including:
Developing cost models
Risk Analysis & Management
Preparation of work proposals/tenders
Excellent working knowledge of commercial processes
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and a collaborative working environment
Experience of working on complex, multi- site operations
Ability to analyse and report on key business data and metrics
Ability and willingness to travel
Membership of Professional Body
Utility & Carbon Reduction Training would be desirable
