Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working in partnership with a successful and forward-thinking business based in Kirmington, North Lincolnshire, in their search for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

Full training will be provided, and study support towards a professional qualification (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) is available following successful completion of probation.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
- Updating annual product costings and customer price lists
- Submitting monthly payroll data to the external payroll bureau
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, stock counts, and expense claims
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns
- Managing aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Performing ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks as required
Person Specification:
- Strong academic qualifications (A Levels) and/or AAT Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Comfortable interpreting and presenting financial information
- Desire to progress and develop a long-term career in finance
- Approachable and professional with strong interpersonal skills
- Confident using initiative and exercising sound judgment
- Proactive and eager to contribute to continuous improvement
- Conscientious, organised, and reliable
- Honest, trustworthy, and adaptable with a positive attitude
