Full time hours available – 37.5 hours a week (shifts are Monday to Friday 9-5pm) – There will be a physical element to this job

Role Overview

 

This business support position is a key role in Theatres. Your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end P2P operations for Theatres, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, no leakage of cost due to incorrect pricing and invoicing by suppliers.

 

You’ll help us make health happen by:

 

Oversee the requisition and purchase order process by reviewing all outstanding requisitions and purchase orders in the PeopleSoft system on a regular and timely basis
Ensure the requestor is advised of any delay in the delivery of goods for outstanding purchase orders.
Main area of cover will be in Theatres, working closely with the current Inventory & Specialist.
Liaise with Bupa UK PeopleSoft team and Bupa UK Procurement team with regards to any system related issues (including transmission to Suppliers) and Supplier catalogue issues.
To assist in the face to face training of PeopleSoft or seek help from Bupa Procurement Support team for providing that training support.
Provide urgent cover where needed.
Deal with Medical Device Alerts (MDAs) and organise the collection and return to the supplier of the affected items.
Assist colleagues in Stores, Theatres and Angio with queries on Inventory module of PeopleSoft and escalate accordingly to Inventory Manager and Bupa UK PeopleSoft team.
Have good Excel skills and be able to use them for preparing , manipulating and maintaining excel based system reports as required by the Inventory Manager.
Liaise with the appropriate UK Procurement & Commercial teams for all inventory management requirements that cannot be sourced from existing supplier contracts  to ensure that non contract expenditure is minimised
Arrange for the return of goods which have been received faulty or damaged, or have been ordered in error, or, are duplicate delivery.
Be responsible for the timely processing of approved Capital Expenditure Requests.
To carry out the above duties and any other duties as reasonably requested by the Inventory Manager or/and Leadership team.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

Experience with Inventory in a hospital setting
Experience with Inventory in a hospital Theatre setting
Excellent organisational skills
Good numeracy skills and the drive to work with attention to detail
Good basic knowledge of Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IT literate – Microsoft office proficient
