CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Fabric Technician to join the team in London.
CBRE manages the FM and maintenance of critical environment property portfolio and is committed to the provision of an efficient and effective engineering maintenance function which is deemed critical to the client’s operations and the maintenance of 100% uptime. The critical environment supports Global Market, Asset and Wealth Management, Legal and Compliance, Coo Corporate Services divisions, Human Resources, and other back-office functions. The client’s portfolio is total facilities management comprising of management locally of in-house Engineering and full Hard and soft service suppliers.
The fabric technician is to carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to building fabric in accordance with agreed service levels. Based primarily at the client’s flag ship office but with responsibilities for other London based sites.
To respond to site emergencies or client concerns, undertake small installation works, repairs to building fabric, and skilled handyperson duties.
This role is for a hands-on working fabric technician with a good understanding of general building services and estate management.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that routine & reactive fabric maintenance is carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
Undertake a full range of general maintenance tasks, not limiting to minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, ensuring service levels are met and to maintain the fabric of the buildings is at a high standard.
Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract facilities co-ordinator.
Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments and Dynamic Risk Assessments are prepared prior to any works starting.
To undertake lone working when and where required.
To develop a good working relationship with all members of the CBRE team, subcontractors, and client’s staff.
Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment is met, including the wearing of uniform and appropriate PPE always. To ensure compliance with all CBRE and client policies and procedures.
Ensure a professional image of CBRE to the client, and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and always promoted.
Ensure that fabric and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development.
Fabric Technician to ensure all workplace settings are maintained and kept in safe & tidy conditions.
Escort visiting subcontractors around site to ensure safe execution of service-related tasks, and ensure RAMS are reviewed and approved prior to works starting.
To timely report all accidents, near misses, hazards and observations with managing Health and Safety policy and standards.
To keep up to date with all assigned CBRE Talent Coach training.
Promote and maintain CBRE work ethics and culture, following the RISE values.
High level of trust and integrity whilst operating within compliance and sensitive environments where confidential information is present.
Actively identify and implement innovation across the contract to enhance performance and continue to exceed
