Cleaning Operative

• Salary: £12.60 per hour
• Location: Sheffield
• Job Type: Temporary (Minimum 3 months)
• Working Hours: 6 hours per day, 5 days a week (Monday to Saturday with one day off each week, on rota)

We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to assist with the delivery of cleaning service functions across various public sites in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone seeking a challenge and eager to develop their skills. The position is not fixed to a single site but covers multiple locations, requiring flexibility and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the areas/sites allocated.
• Perform specific duties including cleaning, washing, sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, vacuum cleaning, polishing, and dusting of designated areas.
• Ensure awareness of the conditions associated with the cleaning of allocated areas.
• Work according to the appropriate Health and Safety requirements, rules, and processes.
• Deliver a flexible cleaning service across various public sites as per the operational needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar cleaning role is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work across various sites and adapt to changing schedules.
• Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
