Electrician – Control Panels and Switchgear (Manufacturing)
Location: Nottingham, NG11
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 7:15am – 5:30pm (4-day week)
Essential Qualifications
17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
JIB/ECS Gold Card
Additional Experience and Skills
Proven experience as an Electrician in control panel or switchgear assembly
Strong ability to interpret 3-phase electrical schematics and CAD-generated drawings
Skilled in using hand and power tools to a professional standard
Excellent communication and fault-finding skills
Self-motivated, detail-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
About the Role
My client is seeking a highly skilled Electrician to join their team at a modern switchgear manufacturing facility in Nottingham. This position is designed for an experienced professional whose expertise goes beyond standard installation work, requiring the precision and technical knowledge typically associated with electrical engineering.
The successful Electrician will:
Assemble and wire electrical control panels and low-voltage switchgear
Work accurately from detailed drawings and CAD layouts
Ensure all systems meet strict quality and safety standards
Support the upkeep of workshop tools and equipment
Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets
Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment
