About the Company

We are a well-established, forward-thinking business operating at scale across multiple regions. As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a newly qualified accountant to join our Group Finance team in a broad and hands-onFinancial Accountant role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone making their first move from audit or accounting practice into a commercial environment where you’ll be given real responsibility from day one.

The Role

This is a varied and progressive position that will give you exposure to both financial reporting and the wider workings of a large, complex business. You’ll play a key part in preparing consolidated accounts, supporting the year-end audit, and improving financial processes, while gaining visibility across group functions including tax, FP&A, and commercial finance.

It’s a great entry point into industry for someone who wants to build a career in a collaborative and high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end group financial statements
  • Own and maintain key balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Support the external audit process, including preparation of audit files and liaison with auditors
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and IFRS standards
  • Assist in the preparation of board reports, investor updates, and other external reporting
  • Contribute to finance improvement initiatives, including process automation and systems upgrades
  • Work with internal teams (tax, commercial, treasury, etc.) to support wider finance activities
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects, including sustainability (ESG) reporting, systems implementations, and acquisitions

Person Specification

  • Recently qualified ACA (or equivalent) from a reputable practice firm
  • Strong technical grounding in IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience preparing or auditing consolidated accounts
  • Highly numerate, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to learn how finance supports the wider business
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)

What We Offer

  • £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
  • Clear progression opportunities across finance (e.g. FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering)
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Competitive salary, annual bonus scheme, and comprehensive benefits package
  • Ongoing learning and development support, including CPD
  • A positive, inclusive culture with a focus on collaboration and career growth
