Role: Building Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

Location: The Harley Street Clinic, London

Full time, 40 hours/week, shifts between 06.30am and 17.00pm. On call will be required, 1 in 5

Up to £39,000 per annum + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

 

We have an exceptional career opportunity for you to join HCA Healthcare UK as a Building Maintenance Engineer.

As part of the Estates team, you will provide a first class building maintenance service to the hospital and satellite sites, covering reactive, project and scheduled maintenance work.

What you’ll do:

To work on planned preventative maintenance schedules, in line with departmental goals and objectives
To respond to emergency and unforeseen maintenance requests
To carry out all work in adherence to Health and Safety, COSHH, Hospital policies and guidelines to ensure safety of staff, patients and visitors
To participate in an on call rota and attend on call duties as required
To liaise and oversee any external contractors
To provide technical advice & guidance to all hospital staff
To ensure that all equipment is audited, documented and any faults rectified
To be part of the clinics fire team & attend all courses to ensure current knowledge of legislation.
What you’ll bring:

Apprenticeship or Industry-recognised level 3 qualification either, Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance), Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) or Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) if part of an Apprenticeship
18TH Edition (IET) Wiring Regulation desirable
Periodic Inspection and Testing desirable
Previous experience in Hard FM desirable
General knowledge of Fire regulations
Excellent customer care and communication skills
