Impact Futures UK and The Childcare Company have a brand new opportunity for a BI Analyst to join the team on a permanent, full time basis.
This is a remote/hybrid working role, working from home with travel required to our Birmingham office
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our BI Team and to work for a fast-growing organisation. You will be responsible for providing reporting to our senior leadership team and business, whilst also creating bespoke reports for our directors and senior leaders.
This is a remote working role with required weekly travel to our Birmingham office.
You will be dealing with existing reports, and creating new and bespoke ones, and providing analysis on them. Currently reporting is within Excel & Powerbi, driven from our MIS and E-Portfolio Systems. We have moved to PowerBi as our data visualization tool and need an expert to carry us further along our journey.
The perfect candidate for the job will be a self-motivated and confident team member with excellent analytic skills and an out-of-the-box thinking approach. You will be comfortable using statistically robust methods to support the story telling and highlight:
Cause and effect
Trends and forecasts
Warning flags or opportunities
Relationships between data sets
You will be confident with different formats and unstructured data sets, and be eager to understand the data from different perspectives. We are looking for an effective communicator with senior stakeholders across different departments.
You will take initiative and be enthusiastic about generating ideas, completing projects, sharing knowledge or supporting teams and stakeholders. You will have strong PowerPoint skills to present the data and insight stories to audiences in a visually engaging way.
The Role
– Creating PowerBi dashboards and maintaining/developing existing dashboards.
– Preparing and analysing complex datasets
– Producing internal and external reporting streams and insight to various stakeholders/clients
– Deriving intelligence from many and varied data sources
– Maintaining and improving datasets and processes
– Responding to stakeholder queries in a fast-paced environment
– Analysing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organisation and the industry

About you
Essential
– Advanced Power BI user (2+ years’ experience)
– Experience handling large datasets
– Advanced Excel skills
– Experience with SQL.
– Effective presentation and communication skills
– Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
– Strong IT and mathematical skills
Desirable
– Experience of CRM/MIS and E-Portfolio systems
– Previous experience in funding/compliance or apprenticeships
– Azure Databricks/Python
