This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional seeking to develop a career in scientific, research and administrative management to join the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Imperial College. You will gain hands-on experience in coordinating national-level public health research in a leading academic institution and will manage a broad portfolio of grants.

A key part of the portfolio is the MRC Centre for Environment and Health, which is funded by the Medical Research Council and has strong links with the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Units (NIHR HPRU) in Chemical and Radiation Threats and Hazards and in Environmental Exposures and Health. The Centre is recognised as an international centre of excellence for research and training on the health effects of environmental pollutants and the translation of this knowledge to inform national and international policies to improve health.

 

What you would be doing
You will have Masters level qualifications or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline preferably relevant to the objectives of the Centre, be highly motivated, and have excellent administrative, organisational and inter-personal skills.
Knowledge of project management best practice, budget management skills and the ability to produce concise written material for scientific or administrative purposes to tight deadlines are essential, as is the ability to work independently across a broad portfolio.

This is full time and fixed-term until 31st May 2026 role based at the White City Campus.
