Mobile Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Mobile Carpenter to join our building services team.

This role involves delivering exceptional maintenance services to a variety of client properties across the designated region. While the primary focus is on carpentry, the role also includes tasks related to plumbing, general fabric maintenance, and other building services.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibility for Plumbing/ Fabric related PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are exceeded.
Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance to include exterior works, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry related tasks.
External ground works maintenance duties.
To provide callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met. Issue of Permits to Work.
Ensure that all equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria.
Ensure equipment and surrounding area conforms to agreed company standards.
To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
NVQ/City & Guilds in carpentry or woodworking or related trade qualification.
OR
Time served multi trades operative / handyperson who has considerable carpentry and joinery experience.
Full UK Driving License.
Proven experience in carpentry and general building maintenance tasks. Exposure to plumbing, mechanical, and external maintenance work is highly desirable.
Skills & Attributes:

Strong carpentry skills with a solid understanding of building fabric repairs.
Basic plumbing and mechanical knowledge to handle diverse maintenance tasks.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a mobile maintenance team.
Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements.
