Security Officer

As a Security Officer with ISS you will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment, protecting your colleagues and our customer’s property, people, and assets by providing exemplary security operations.

The abrdn Edinburgh estate is staffed by Security Officers during day and night time hours.

The Security Team Leader will supervise and support the incoming and outgoing night Security Officers during hand over briefings.

The Role
Report to the Security Team Leader.
Principal point of contact for local engagement with abrdn.
Understand and adhere to the ISS KPI’s and processes.
Ensure weekly Near Hits are reported by self.
Support the Security Team Leaders and Security Supervisors, ensure the correct clocking in /out processes are followed.
Direct and promote appropriate communication and collaborative working across the estate and amongst the team.
Support the training and development of staff.
Challenge and report any inappropriate conduct.
Conduct Patrol and Response duties as directed.
About You
Previous security experience
A valid front-line security guarding, door supervision or close protection SIA license
Knowledge and experience with security systems and other related tech
Great attention to detail and a consistent approach
A team player with good customer service skills
New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
