We are looking for a Senior Surveyor or Associate for our Student Housing Capital Market team to be based in London.

 

What this job involves

Leading and advising on the dynamics of the national Student Housing Market and wider Residential/Living market.
Leading in the growth of the Student Housing – Living Capital Markets business, through strategic client engagement, advising on acquisition and disposal opportunities whilst acting as a trusted client advisor.
Driving the single asset sale and acquisition function within the team
Preparation of reports and marketing material for a variety of purposes, including underwriting pipeline opportunities and potential new acquisitions.
Although not the primary responsibility of the role – financial modelling would be helpful for the appraisal of opportunities.
Liaise with professionals across internal and external networks to ensure JLL are aware of recent transactions, market intel and competing advisors processes.
Researching and reporting on Student Housing schemes to clients
Writing business proposals independently-.
Autonomous customer relationship management for existing clients
Identification of new business opportunities
Supporting team members in large Student Housing mandates
Sound like you? To apply you need to be / have:

RICS certification (with appropriate experience in a similar role)
Previous experience in the Living space is favourable but not a necessity
Strong team ethos with excellent communication skills and ability to work with key internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, to prepare client reports and presentations in a clear manner
Strong analytical skills, with ability to review operational financial performance and financial statements.
Confidence to present logical and reasoned arguments to support your underwriting but the ability to work within a team environment.
Effective project management skills, working to tight timelines and prioritising tasks to ensure timely reporting to our clients.
Enthusiasm, with a strong sense of commitment to a career in a growing/dynamic/fast-paced part of the business.
