Job Title: Laser Operator/Setter (Afternoon Shift)

Shift Pattern: Afternoon Shift (with initial training on Morning Shift)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Laser Operator/Setter to join our team in Dudley. This is a full-time position on our Afternoon Shift, with an initial training period on the Morning Shift to ensure a smooth transition and full understanding of our operations.

Working Hours:
?? Afternoon Shift (Permanent Placement):

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm
• Friday: 2:00 pm – 7:30 pm

??? Training Period (Morning Shift – 3 to 4 weeks):

• Monday to Friday: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: £12.60 per hour
• Shift Allowance: £6.00 per completed afternoon shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up laser cutting machines according to production specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment
• Monitor machine performance and ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating and setting laser cutting machines (preferred)
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work initial training hours on the Morning Shift
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
