Gloucester, Brockworth Business Park, GL3 4AH

Up to £26,250 per annum

40hrs per week

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm – Flexible hybrid working after probation.

Full Time, PermanentThis position will also consider a part time option if required.

Mears Group are a highly established Nationwide Business, our Gloucester head office are now looking to recruit an additional Accounts Payable Clerk to join their already dedicated Team.

You will be joining a busy, vibrant Accounts environment where no two days will be the same. The ideal candidate will have previous administration or customer service experience in a high volume busy environment, be great at building professional relationships and have excellent organisation and administration skills.  

Role duties:

  • Answering phone queries
  • Inputting bills – rental payments, utility bills, leases.
  • Covering central inboxes
  • Opening post
  • Querying different bills 
  • Working collaboratively with other departments
  • Inputting a high volume of supplier invoices with speed and accuracy
  • Investigating and resolving supplier queries
  • General maintenance of the purchase ledger
  • Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required
  • Data entry and statement reconciliation

Role Criteria:

  • Previous administration experience within a fast paced, volume lead position. 
  • If you have Accounts or Ledger experience this would be advantageous but not essential 
  • A strong administrator with excellent IT and database skills – confident in using Excel 
  • You will be tenacious, organised, self-motivated, a confident communicator – able to liaise with internal employees or any suppliers, communicate with a broad range of personalities and business managers 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage your own workload
  • Professional, confidential individual that is adaptable to change
  • Flexibility to take on other duties that are not included in this job description to help the wider organisation as this is an ever-evolving team.
