SANZA Teaching Agency is pleased to be working with a specialist school in Brent, seeking a dedicated Level 3 EYP SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, supportive team working with children with Autism in a nurturing environment.

Job Role:

  • Supporting a small group of children with Autism, providing one-to-one and small group assistance to aid their learning and development.
  • Implementing individualised learning plans and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of the students.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Working closely with other teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective delivery of lessons and support for students.
  • Contributing to planning and assessment meetings, and providing feedback on student progress.
  • Encouraging student participation in various creative activities, including Music, Drama, and Arts, to enhance their learning experience.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 3 Early Years Professional (EYP) qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly Autism, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A creative approach to supporting and engaging students in their learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, supportive school environment.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEND and a commitment to their personal and educational development.
