Role Overview
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making across the business. You will collaborate with stakeholders across operations, commercial, and corporate functions to ensure financial integrity and drive performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary
- Lead month-end close processes, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Analyse key financial and non-financial KPIs, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Assist in cost centre reporting, overhead analysis, and profitability reviews
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements across the finance function
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards
- Support internal and external audits and provide relevant documentation
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and financial modelling to support business cases and strategic initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a management accounting, FP&A, or business partnering role
- Experience working in a large or complex organization preferred
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday, Hyperion)
- Comfortable working with large data sets and producing clear, actionable insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset
