Description
· Provide timely, actionable insights to the senior merchandiser and buying teams, ensuring data-driven decisions across the product lifecycle.
· Assist in budgeting by category and ensure option count and depth of buy are aligned with financial and strategic goals.
· Control and manage stock levels based on planned intake, sell-through, and seasonal product performance.
· Review forecasts regularly and adjust buying plans and stock allocations in response to real-time data and sales trends.
· Work closely with import managers and branch merchandisers to ensure smooth delivery and stock availability across channels.
· Analyse weekly sales, stock, and performance KPIs to identify risks and opportunities.
· Monitor best and worst sellers and make recommendations for rebuys, markdowns, or exit strategies.
· Contribute to weekly trading meetings, highlighting actionable insights and flagging issues with proposed solutions.
· Recommend and implement markdown strategies to clear aging stock while protecting brand value and margin targets.
· Track impact of markdowns and promotions to inform future planning and discount strategies.
