Deputy Nursery Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to help support the Nursery Manager by overseeing the outstanding care and management of our nursery. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded professional with nursery and management experience and knowledge of the industry. This person should be able to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize them, and delegate appropriately.

The Deputy Manager will be expected to perform all duties including but not limited to the following:
1. To run the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
2. In collaboration with the Nursery Manager, contribute to succession planning, identification and delivery of relevant training, and supporting professional development plans, including coaching and mentoring for all colleagues.
3. You will be able to support all nursery staff in their roles, leading them to deliver outstanding childcare
4. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the needs of each child
5. To promote the high standards of the setting at all times to parents/carers, staff and visitors.
6. To assist the manager in setting and implementing objectives and policies for the setting.
7. To ensure the setting maintains a high standard of physical and emotional care.
8. To be responsible for the Health and Safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensuring staff compliance and awareness.
9. To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
10. To ensure the setting maintains a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from different cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development
11. To ensure confidentiality of information received.
12. To attend monthly staff/planning meetings and training sessions outside working hours.
13. To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children in the workplace, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe setting policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.
