Housekeeper

To support the nursery management team to ensure that cleaning requirements are met.

Aims

· To comply with all regulatory requirements

· To provide high standards of care around the nursery

· To maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Key Responsibilities

· Effectively carry out housekeeping tasks throughout the nursery to maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment for our children and colleagues

· Follow a daily and weekly cleaning schedule as set by the nursery management team

· Manage the settings laundry requirements.

· Use initiative to identify any further cleaning needs.

· Ensure the nursery is well presented.

· Step in to assist when cleaning needs arise such as supporting room-based staff with the cleaning after mealtimes.

· Promote cleanliness and hygiene across the nursery and to the team.

· Maintain good knowledge of cleaning products and health and safety.

· Report any identified risk to the management team.

· Complete deep cleans when required.

· Ensure all aspects of the “health and safety at work act” are complied within operation, with specific reference to; safe working practices, hygiene practices, fire procedures and staff training

· Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line manager.

· To follow up any supplier problems and report to nursery manager if not resolved

· With support work as part of a team to ensure the company’s values are maintained

· Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, colleagues and visitors.

· Notify Designated Officer of any safeguarding concerns.

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Pay: £11.44-£12.10 per hour
