Selby High School is looking to appoint a Year Manager to join our pastoral team in our thriving and successful school. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person with significant pastoral experience to join our team.
The successful candidate will have:
Experience of working in a school, or other setting, in a pastoral capacity.
The ability to form excellent relationships with students and their families, from a wide range of backgrounds, especially the most disadvantaged.
A proven track record in supporting young people, for example improving behaviour and/or attendance.
Extensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures, and the willingness to undertake training to continue to develop in this area.
Resilience and a sense of humour, and an unwavering belief that excellent pastoral support can make a significant difference to the outcomes and life chances in young people.
