What You’ll Do:
As a Gym Instructor, you’ll be at the heart of creating a positive and safe gym experience for all customers. Whether you’re guiding members through personalised fitness programs, ensuring the gym environment is maintained, or motivating individuals to reach their fitness potential, your role will directly impact the health and well-being of our community. You’ll work as part of a friendly, supportive team, providing excellent customer service and adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Customer Support: Supervise gym users, offer one-to-one fitness guidance, and create tailored workout plans to help them achieve their goals.
Safety & Supervision: Ensure the gym environment remains safe, monitor users and equipment, and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Promotions & Sales: Contribute to membership growth and retention by promoting gym services, special events, and membership offers.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of gym equipment and facilities.
Team Collaboration: Work with a supportive team to maintain high levels of customer service and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Enthusiastic, reliable, and approachable with a passion for fitness and health.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Desirable:
Additional qualifications such as Level 3 Exercise Referral or First Aid.
Previous experience in a fitness environment.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a gym setting.
Sales or promotional experience in a leisure or fitness setting.
