About the Apprenticeship

As a Sales Executive Apprentice, you will be supported on the Sales Executive Level 4 standard which will help build your industry skills and knowledge.

The apprenticeship lasts for 15 months , formal training throughout the programme is supplied by our partner training provider, with a combination of on-the-job training, as well as structured training all supported in work time.

About the Team

As a Sales Executive Apprentice, you will work as part of the Business Development Team within Pearson TQ, you will report to the Business Development Manager. As part of the Business Development team, you will have shared accountability for increasing market share by:

Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities for products in public and private sectors, drive growth of Apprenticeships, qualifications, and short courses, lead lead-generation campaigns in untapped markets, and oversee social media outreach efforts.
Revenue Generation: Support the sales team to close a 10% revenue increase within 12 months by enhancing sales processes, identifying opportunities, supporting bid strategies, and contributing to Pearson TQ’s annual revenue targets.
Administrative and Operational Support: Manage CRM data to enhance pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy, prepare sales proposals, and coordinate follow-up activities to ensure a seamless client experience.
Client Retention and Upselling: Clearly articulate product and service strategies, nurture client relationships, and drive a 10% revenue increase by upselling and cross-selling training programmes.
You will work with cross-functional teams, key stakeholders, and external partners to identify business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development: Drive revenue growth by identifying new customers, progressing sales leads, accelerating customer journeys, and supporting BDMs in project and tender delivery.
Sales: Consistently meet and exceed quarterly KPIs, establish stakeholder relationships to support lead progression, collaborate on peer-to-peer relationships, and assist with tender and proposition creation.
Innovation and Transformation: Identify opportunities for innovation, create new revenue streams, leverage technology and digital transformation, and enhance Pearson TQ’s social media presence with the Marketing team.
Research & Insights: Conduct market and competitive research to inform strategy, improve insights gathering, and develop strategies to enter new markets with existing and new products.
Level 4 Sales Executive Standard: Complete a funded Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship to enhance industry skills and knowledge as part of the role.

This role is located in Pearson Plc London 80 Strand offices.

We work a 37.5-hour week, with all our team free to flex their day around our core hours, which are Monday to Friday, 10 to 4 GMT/BST. School runs, etc can be accommodated. Other flexible working patterns can be considered, including part-time working and non-traditional hours. As we regularly work with global teams, particularly in India and the US, there may be the occasional need to accommodate meetings outside of core hours.

For this role there is a requirement to provide occasional out of hours support during business-critical periods.
