The Vacancy
Have you got the right tools for the job?

Platform Property Care are expanding their Mobile Caretaking team and we are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join us. As a Caretaker, you will deliver day to day caretaking service of our estates, blocks and schemes in Lincolnshire.

What could you be doing?

You will carry out a range of activities to ensure our properties and the surrounding areas remain clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition. You will be helping to make our communal properties great places to live.

Day to day tasks will include keeping communal areas clean and hazard free, leaf clearance, litter picking, removing graffiti to maintenance and minor repairs and dealing with fly tipping.

This is a mobile role and will be based covering our sites in Lincolnshire so you would need to be based in the county, and a driving licence is therefore essential. Access to a company van is provided so there is no need to use your own vehicle during the working day.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours a week Monday – Friday with core hours of 8- 15:30 with no weekend working.

We want somebody who has:

A positive outlook with a flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a team
You will need a keen eye for detail and be committed to achieving high standards
Ideally you will have experience of working in a customer-focused environment undertaking cleaning and caretaking duties
Good IT skills as you will be using an iPad to access a portal to log all required repairs and completion of health and safety checks
A full driving licence is essential.
This role also requires a Basic DBS check.
Part of Platform Housing Group, Platform Property Care is a well-established property maintenance business. Working with us is more than just a job. We value the contribution that our colleagues make to our business; our vision is clear – we are growing fast, and we aim to achieve our plan through an engaged and highly skilled team.

If this sounds like the place for you then we’d love to hear from you! Interested? To find out more about this role, please contact Andrew Kalmar, Caretaking & Cleaning Manager, at [email protected] for a chat.

We are holding in person interviews in Lincolnshire during the weeks commencing 17th and 24th February. If you are shortlisted to attend an interview, we will contact you either by text or telephone.

We do not require recruitment agency support at this time – all speculative CV’s will be treated as a direct application.
The Company
Join us and find your purpose at Platform!

Working with us is more than just a job, you will be joining an amazing organisation that values you and your contribution, and where you can truly make a difference and change people’s lives.

You will join the largest social housing association in the Midlands. We’re much more than just houses; we build homes, strong communities, and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers.

We recognise the unique and individual needs of people, so if you are interested in this role but would like to explore a different way of working to the standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 approach, then please highlight this on your application or discuss it with us at the interview stage.  After all, we want to attract the best people to work for us and we know that one size does not fit all.

Platform is a great place to work, we offer lots of opportunities for you to get involved, share ideas and shape what we do – from networking groups through to fun community and social events.  This is an exciting time to join us, that will provide you with real exposure to the wider dynamics of a truly modern housing association that will play a major part in delivering our 5-year corporate strategy.

If we receive a high number of applications, this vacancy may expire prior to the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
