The Vacancy
Are you passionate about building safety and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced environment?

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our growing Contracts team, playing a key role in ensuring Platform Housing Group remains fully compliant with all relevant legislation, statutory duties, and governance standards for Building Safety.

In this dynamic role, you will take the lead on 4 to 7 compliance areas, such as ventilation units, air conditioning and other Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contracts, ensuring they run smoothly and remain fully compliant. You will oversee contract administration, including financial management, works instruction, and CDM responsibilities, while working closely with the Compliance Manager and Procurement Team to secure key contracts.

You will also provide leadership and assistance to a Building Safety Coordinator, ensuring effective delivery of compliance activities. Keeping our Landlord Health and Safety policies up to date, you will stay ahead of evolving legislation, implement action plans, and conduct audits, data integrity checks, and budget monitoring.

Some of the things we are looking for:

Experience of working within a Building Safety/Landlord H&S team for a Housing Association or similar organisation
Five GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at Grade C or above, along with A-Levels, HNC/HND, or an equivalent qualification
A good technical ability and be able to provide technical advice on a wide range of building safety issues
Experience of successfully managing a range of Landlord H&S contracts  in areas such as Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) would be considered essential
Numerate, IT literate, accurate, detail conscious with ability to interpret and report information electronically
Committed to customer service in all activities, be passionate about the quality of service and ensure standards are met
You should have some flexibility of working hours to meet deadlines as necessary
While this role is home-based, you will need to travel to Group offices at least twice a month and meet with contractors as and when required. Our offices are located at Birmingham Business Park and Central Park, Worcester.
