As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting this mission by offering tailored assistance to students and ensuring their learning journey is fulfilling and successful.

Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching team to provide personalised support to students with varying educational needs. Your role will include classroom support, one-on-one and small group guidance, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities
Student Support:

Provide individualised or small group support to enhance students’ academic and social development.
Encourage independent learning and build resilience through structured activities and personalised support.
Create a nurturing atmosphere that boosts students’ confidence and self-esteem.
Classroom Assistance:

Assist teachers in delivering lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Help maintain a well-organised, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
Monitor and report on student progress to inform planning and interventions.
Additional Responsibilities:

Support students during transitions, breaks, and school outings.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual who:

Has experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting.
Is knowledgeable about safeguarding and child protection practices.
Has a patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills.
