The Royal Borough of Greenwich Prison Social Care Team continues to lead the way nationally, in the provision of Prison Social Care service delivery. This specialist service area has a team of forward thinking, highly motivated and creative individuals, responsible for the assessment and delivery of Social Care in the Greenwich Prisons Cluster.
We are aiming to recruit a like-minded, experienced team member to join our exceptional team. As this is a specialist service area, recruitment to this post will be dependent on the suitability of applicants to the roles and the needs of the service.
The team are responsible for promoting the well-being of clients, assessing clients’ strengths and abilities, using a comprehensive single Social Care assessment, for individuals with physical, sensory, mental health or learning disabilities within the prison environment.
The current service need is for a DeputyTeam Manager who has the skills and experience to make a valuable contribution to a multi-disciplinary approach within the prison establishment, working closely with colleagues from the prison service, health, voluntary agencies and the commissioned social care provider.

What we are looking for:
Experienced and professional applicants who are skilled in completing comprehensive assessments.
An experienced Occupational Therapist, full or part-time.
Knowledge and experience of assessing a range of disabilities, to promote health, well-being and independence
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively discuss complex cases and situations with partner agencies
Ability to prioritise your work, meet targets, work on your own initiative and organise cases, workload and meetings
Excellent IT skills, using a range of IT systems
A flexible and adaptable approach to working within the prison environment and within the prison regime

Location
The post is based with the Health and Adults Service, Prison Social Care Team in the Woolwich Centre, with the expectation that co-location in the prison establishments and with partner agencies.
