Occupational Health Technician
We have exciting opportunity for a Occupational Health Technicians to join our teams in the Midlands and Oxford. There will be frequent requirement to travel further afield with prior notice and regular overnight stays. You will ensure the delivery of class leading service, conducting health surveillance, fitness for work health screening and health promotion to clients. The work is delivered at in a suitable room on client sites or from mobile screening units or RPS Clinics.
The salary for this role will be £25,000 – £27,000 per annum, with the option for overtime to take you to around £30,000 per annum.

The RPS Occupational Health business is a team of clinicians that take pride in actively promoting and maintaining good health in the workplace, through undertaking risk-based health surveillance, wellbeing, health screening and case management.

As a key member of the Occupational Health business, your role as Occupational Health Technician is critical to helping our clients manage health and wellbeing solutions.
You will deliver consultations covering fitness for work, absence management, and employee assistance programmes.

Your Responsibilities:
Health Surveillance
Audiometry and Spirometry
Skin assessments and Hand Arm Vibration (Tier 1 & 2)
Fitness for work medicals (i.e. driver, working at height medicals or vision screening)
Drug & alcohol testing
Venepuncture
Wellbeing medical and health promotion
Driving a mobile screening unit Nationwide (including UK & Ireland)
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Previous Occupational Health experience inc. health surveillance and/or fitness for work medicals
Able to complete overnight stays and extensive travel throughout the UK (overnight stays maybe Monday – Friday depending on client requirements)
Hold a full UK driving licence
Experience and/or willingness to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
Competent IT user (MS office suite and/or electronic medical records systems)
Ability to work autonomously
