Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Merton.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborating with the SENCO and other staff members to address individual needs.
Requirements:
A compasisonate, ‘can do’ attitude and ability to connect with SEN students is the most important thing for this role – we offer accredited training and upskilling for those with the right personailty!
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education or related fields
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting the educational development of students with diverse needs.
