Job Description
The role
We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager position to join our registered care scheme in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. As a Deputy Manager, reporting to the Registered Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to our residents. In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Managers to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality care.
You will also take on the responsibility of leading the service in the absence of the Registered Manager, overseeing the provision of the service and the management of the care, support and welfare of all residents to meet the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
You will need to work flexibly covering evenings and weekends as appropriate and be able to participate in the on-call rota as required. You must be physically able to undertake moving and handling, have a full driving licence, the use of a vehicle with business use insurance, and will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Thorough awareness of health & safety
Experience of working in a registered care service with Care Quality Commission knowledge
Hold 4 passes at GCSE Level C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Good written, IT and communication skills
Leadership and management experience
Be able to work flexibly, prioritise and manage demands
Driving licence, able to drive and have access to own vehicle
