We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) with British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 to support a deaf pupil in Year 1 at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Salford.

?? This is a 1:1 support role where you’ll play a vital part in helping a young student access learning, communicate confidently, and thrive in the classroom.

?? What the role involves:
?? Supporting a Year 1 pupil with hearing impairment on a 1:1 basis
?? Using BSL to facilitate communication and classroom engagement
?? Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team
?? Encouraging social interaction and supporting emotional well-being
?? Helping adapt learning materials to suit the pupil’s needs

�? Requirements:
? BSL Level 3 qualification (essential)
? Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience)
? Previous experience supporting children with hearing impairment is desirable
? Patient, empathetic, and confident in using BSL in a school setting
