Technical Manager

We are looking for a Technical Manager for a company that produces high-quality baked goods for the foodservice sector. The company uses traditional methods and natural ingredients and is certified for food safety and quality standards. They have a strong focus on maintaining high standards in food safety, quality, and sustainability.

About the Technical Manager job

The purpose of your role will be to lead the company’s on-site technical team and take ownership of all aspects of food safety and quality. In this key role, you’ll ensure all regulatory and legislative standards are met consistently.

Key tasks

• Manage all technical visits and audits as well as ensuring Health & Safety compliance across the technical team and their activities.
• Maintain a robust, validated HACCP system and manage technical audits and visits.
• Promote a strong food safety and quality culture within the organisation.
• Contribute as a key team member and provide training and mentorship where appropriate.

About You

• The successful candidate will have at least 3 years technical management experience within food manufacturing.
• Ideally educated to a degree level in food science or food safety discipline.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of food safety requirements, standards and legislation including BRC global standard.
• Ideal qualifications include a minimum of Level 3 HACCP, Food Safety, Food Hygiene and auditing etc.
• Strong management skills with the ability to delegate tasks and mentor a small technical team.

The Technical Manager job (ref:8891) is paying £55,000 according to your experience.

The site is near Slough and is commutable from Windsor, Reading, High Wycombe, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Ascot and parts of London (Berkshire and Buckinghamshire).

The working hours are Monday to Friday and is a site-based role.
