Admin Officer Cardiff Tribunals
Location: Cardiff
Monday to Friday
Pay rate – £12.86

If you’re organised, confident with administrative processes and thrive in a fast-paced court environment, Our Client has a great opportunity for you. You’ll play a key role behind the scenes-preparing documents, supporting hearings, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly and professionally.
What you’ll be doing:
* Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
* Produce court/tribunal documents, and carry out general photocopying and filing
* Create and update records on an in-house computer system, completing accurate data input
* Handle post opening and dispatch, including booking and preparing meeting rooms
* Prepare meeting materials such as agendas, joining instructions and handouts
* Draft standard letters and correspondence, as well as minutes, notes, reports and submissions in line with guidelines
* Clerking civil and family courts and tribunals-ensuring papers and materials are up to date and ready
* Assist court users, support listing and rota management, and check files
* Contact relevant parties, schedule and serve court documents, execute warrants, collect fines and fees (including the use of chip and pin)
* Manage counter enquiries (face to face), and respond to written and telephone enquiries
* Work as part of a team to help ensure TIB meetings are relevant, timely and productive
* Support problem-solving and small projects, including assessing the impact of new SOPs
* Undertake ad hoc banded duties (including Jury Bailiff Officer, L+D Co-ordinator and H+S roles) when required
* Process casework documentation, including court orders, claims, fines and fees and legal aid

* Attention to detail when drafting and updating information for formal proceedings
* Confidence working with computer systems for accurate data input and record updates
* Strong communication skills for supporting court users and handling enquiries
* Team-focused working style, with a willingness to problem-solve and contribute to improvement work
* The ability to handle scheduled tasks and deadlines in a structured environment

* This role involves clerking duties during hearings, ensuring materials are available and up to date
