Overview

Are you an experienced pensions professional looking for your next fixed-term opportunity? Join First Actuarial, a Gallagher company, as an Interim Senior Pensions Administrator on a 12-month fixed-term contract and become part of a team that values expertise, collaboration and innovation.

As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional service to one of our key clients. You’ll be responsible for handling complex calculations, overseeing key administration processes and supporting the development of your team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a portfolio that is primarily Defined Benefit, with some Defined Contribution and Hybrid pension schemes, helping to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency across all aspects of administration.

How you’ll make an impact

• Calculate and check complex retirement, leaver, death, and spouse’s benefits.
• Review and sign off transfer value statements.
• Manage pension increases, renewals, and trustee bank accounts.
• Oversee bulk mailings, calculations, and administration reports.
• Draft letters, reports, and support Annual Report & Accounts preparation.
• Manage pensioner payrolls and annual scheme returns.
• Handle non-standard client/member queries and sign off valuation data.

General Tasks:

• Achieve service level agreements (SLAs) and manage your workload effectively.
• Support team members through training and mentoring.
• Take ownership of your professional development and contribute to process improvements.

About You

• Experience: A seasoned professional in Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution pension scheme administration.
• Location: Whilst we would prefer someone to work on a hybrid basis in Peterborough, we are open to remote working for an experienced individual.
• Skills: Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pension administration systems (e.g., Compendia).
• Attributes: A logical problem-solver, team player, and motivator with a positive attitude.
