Who are we?
The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is the region’s economic development delivery organisation.
From April 2026, we will lead the delivery of regionally commissioned economic development activity aligned to the West Midlands Growth Plan, working in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and local authorities.
We are building a sharper, business-focused organisation that attracts investment, supports high-growth companies and drives measurable economic impact.

The Role
As our new Regional Talent Liaison Executive, you’ll act as a vital link between employers, training providers, local authorities and regional partners, helping businesses access the talent, skills and workforce solutions they need.
Working closely with WMGC’s business-facing teams and the West Midlands Combined Authority, you’ll identify employer workforce requirements, connect organisations with training and employment support, and provide insights that help shape regional skills priorities.

Essential:
• Experience in an employer-facing role such as recruitment, business support, account management, or skills delivery.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and maintaining accurate records.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
• Knowledge of the skills, employment or workforce development landscape.
• Experience working with public sector, education or training providers.
• Understanding of economic development or business growth programmes.
• Experience using labour market or employer insight data.
