Position: English Teacher with PSHE Support

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher with a passion for making a difference? Do you have the ability to inspire and engage students with challenging behaviors and complex needs? If so, we want you to join our team at [School Name], a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) that provides a supportive and nurturing environment for young people.

We are looking for an experienced and resilient English Teacher who can also support in delivering PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education). You will play a crucial role in helping students develop their English skills while encouraging personal growth and building essential life skills through PSHE lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and tailored English lessons to small groups or individual students in line with the national curriculum.
Plan and deliver high-quality PSHE lessons, addressing topics relevant to the needs and experiences of our students.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes engagement and learning.
Support students in developing essential communication, literacy, and social skills.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff, to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working within a PRU or with students who have additional needs, behavioral challenges, or who may be at risk of exclusion is desirable.
Strong subject knowledge in English, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
Passionate about PSHE and committed to promoting the social and emotional development of young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
