Location: Greenwich
Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £100 – 125

We are a forward-thinking Alternative Provision dedicated to supporting students who require an educational environment that is different from mainstream settings. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive space where young people can thrive, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome obstacles to their learning by:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to students, tailored to their individual needs.
Building positive relationships with students, acting as a trusted role model and mentor.
Supporting students’ academic progress, personal development, and social skills.
Working closely with teachers and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans.
Assisting in the delivery of engaging activities that inspire and motivate students.
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students to develop resilience and self-esteem.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with young people, particularly those with additional needs or challenging behaviour.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
The ability to build rapport with students and help them engage with their learning.
A flexible, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work, or similar) are desirable but not essential.
