Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Early Years Specialist Teacher to start in January 2025 in one of our partnered Schools in Hertfordshire.

This is a full-time position with full-teaching responsibilities.

We are looking for someone that is experienced in teaching EYFS in Primary Education following the national curriculum, that also has strong behaviour management and experience with children that have special educational needs in order to support them.

The main dutes will be:

 

Planning and Delivering Lessons:

Design and implement engaging lesson plans in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the different learning styles and needs of young children.
Assessing and Monitoring Development:

Regularly observe and assess children’s development across all learning areas, ensuring they are meeting milestones.
Keep accurate records of progress and use this data to inform future lesson planning.
Creating a Nurturing Learning Environment:

Set up and maintain a stimulating, safe, and supportive classroom that encourages creativity and learning.
Foster a positive atmosphere where children feel secure and are encouraged to explore and express themselves.
Supporting Personal, Social, and Emotional Development:

Promote social skills, cooperation, and emotional well-being among students through structured activities and free play.
Help children develop independence, self-confidence, and respect for others.
Engaging with Parents and Guardians:

Build strong relationships with parents by providing regular updates on their child’s progress and discussing any concerns or needs.
Offer guidance to parents on supporting their child’s development at home.
Collaboration with Colleagues and External Agencies:

Work closely with teaching assistants and other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to learning and development.
Liaise with SEN specialists, social workers, and other professionals to support children with additional needs.
Upholding Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies:

Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following safeguarding protocols and responding to any concerns appropriately.
Continuous Professional Development:

Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education by attending workshops, training, and professional development sessions.
The requirements to be a successful candidate:

QTS – Qualified Teacher Status
A minimum of 12 months Teaching in Primary Education and EYFS is preferable
DBS on the update service
Proof of raising attainment in academic levels
