Retail Manager – Battersea Power Station
Job Description
Purpose of the Role
Reporting into the Senior Retail Manager, to interact with Retailers and F&B operators across the scheme. The role is to ensure exemplary standards of service delivery and communication are provided to our brand partners at all times. The main responsibilities are to manage brand partner relationships, drive sales and produce accurate retailer statistical data, ensuring a continuous review across all occupier operations. Accountable for the design and management of the scheme’s brand partner meetings plan, including retailer, leisure and F&B meetings as well as other major space users. Incorporating all actions and recording data to ensure all service targets are met and delivered at all times. The ultimate goal is to drive operational improvement; by building relationships with all Battersea Power Station’s retailers to ensure SMR are delivering ‘world class services’.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties
Assist in the design and delivery of the Scheme’s retailer communications plan including newsletters e-mail updates, CRM management.
Design, deliver and collate retailer research data including the production of trend analysis reports from trading data.
Ensure that brand partners upload their sales turnover and transactions figures onto the reporting platform on a weekly basis.
Monitor and report retailer performance through turnover reports and on-the-ground observation, flag underperformers and retail concerns to the Landlord and Head of Retail Performance as appropriate.
Detailed KPI analysis to help drive brand performance and support key wider business strategic decision-making processes.
Working closely with various service partners and the client to increase levels of environmentally friendly practices.
Collaborating with other Savills run sites, sharing key insights to help support each other and achieving objectives at BPS.
Escalation of brand issues and supporting the wider team to ensure lease compliance with suitable follow ups in place.
Carry out Mystery Shops at key competitor locations across London and the UK.
Monitor footfall data and raise awareness on areas that receive a low number of visitors.
Collate information and monitor retailer special events. Feedback to the client on these as appropriate and assess retailer commercial / operational impact pre / post all event program activity.
Run post-event surveys and prepare reports for the client.
Deliver clear and concise written reports for both internal and external use, ensuring these meet the established/agreed submission deadlines.
Deliver feedback to management meetings and departmental managers daily / as required regarding retailer updates and issues arising.
Work closely with the Retail Operations Team to create and implement planned retailer toolbox talks and training.
To work with external organisations and stakeholders to create opportunities for brand partners to enhance service delivery by maximising training, recruitment and retention opportunities.
To work alongside the Scheme’s security teams and local police to maximise information sharing and crime prevention strategies.
To liaise with department managers to ensure both retailer compliance and project participation is achieved at all times, working with brand partners to create action plans for improvement where necessary.
Assist the Marketing team in the recruitment and participation of brand partners in Battersea based events, promotional material, website and brand partner / residents app.
Maintain safe working practices in line with statutory requirements and escalate accordingly.
Undertake any further duties or tasks as requested by Line Manager or Management team as appropriate.
Work as part of the team, carry out duties willingly and strive to deliver the core values.
Communicate with colleagues and management as required and provide upward feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Attend all training and meetings as required. Take responsibility for your own training and achieve all mandatory development to enable high competency levels within your role.
Update Retailer Handbooks, ensuring this presents accurate representation of estate policies pertaining to brand partners.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends to support scheme operations.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
Knowledge of working at a strategic level within a Retail, Leisure or Hospitality environment.
Excellent presentation skills delivered to both management and operational teams to engage and motivate individuals.
Knowledge of data analysis and production of accurate reports encompassing trends.
Key attention to detail and demonstrate skills of producing / work with exceptional written and oral communication.
Establish credibility using people management skills, demonstrating exceptional customer service qualities to achieve results under pressure.
Analytical skills to influence management levels and developing excellence to internal and external customers.
Prior experience working within the Retail and or Food and Beverage industry.
Desirable:
Ability to design and develop retailer research data and analyse enhanced reports.
Knowledge of developing communications plans with retailers and management teams.
Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping or data processing – within a retail environment.
Working Hours – Full-Time
Salary – £42-£45k per annum
